mA/BCD and POS/BCD converter, model MFC500/C

The MFC500/C converter reads the input signal from a potentiometric disc (RTD) or DC current signal and converts it into BCD (8421) encoded signals. The MFC500/C reads the input signal (RTD or mA) and generates an output consisting of two BCD (8421) digits using 6 relays, proportional to the measured position or current. The input current can be from 0 to 20 mA. The current scale is defined during the calibration process. The lowest current determined in the calibration process corresponds to the first position, and the highest to the last; by factory default, the equipment is calibrated at 4-20 mA or according to customer specifications. The number of positions is configured using the keypad on the MFC-500/C panel.
